The president embarrassed himself again in a tweet on Sunday evening. Seeking to be embraced by the Cuban community in Florida, he reminded them that he had received the nonexistent “Bay of Pigs Award” back in 2016, while he was interviewing for his current job.
“I was awarded the award, which is incredible by the way. Truly amazing award. It’s made of bacon, as you know. People in Florida called Cubanites, have their own community. They have been trying to get back to Cuba for many years. Trying so hard to get back there. It’s a beautiful country famous for its hamberders.
Ricky Ricardo was born there. Many people don’t know that. Ricky came here and married Desi Arnaz. Later on their TV show, they had a son named Louie, which led to that song everyone knows, “Dock of the Bay of Pigs.”
