Recycled Beatles Tunes Again Re-Released

beatlesJust when you thought you had purchased the final re-mix of the Beatles songs, a new re-release has been issued. I know, I know, first you bought the LP’s on vinyl. Then you bought them again on cassette tape. Then you discovered the pirated un-released stuff and bought that. Then you purchased the whole catalog on CD’s. Then along came the Beatles Anthology on video tape, which you then replaced with the DVD version. A couple of years ago the re-mixed, re-mastered digital versions were again re-released in new packaging including a smidgen of George Harrison’s ashes in gelatin capsules for the first 100 customers. But now, Capitol-EMI has announced the latest ultra re-mix, re-loop Dolby version of all the Beatles hits recorded backwards! Yes, you will finally be able to listen to all the backward masked hits proclaiming the death of Paul and of John screaming “oh, my flaming arse-hole” into banks of special backward recording microphones. George Martin, long suffering engineer of the Beatles catalog of hits, listed some of the high points of the latest backward releases. “On take two of ‘Ticket to Ride’, Paul can clearly be heard saying, ‘mmpppijnn gaccinngpmoom opted‘ and later on George shouts, ‘pheeeermmeegoph’ when a packing crate falls on his foot”. Asked if this rendering of the Beatles will be the final chapter, Mr. Martin shook his head and played a snippet of tape on an ancient reel to reel machine. “That gurgling sound you hear? That’s a well placed microphone picking up Ringo’s stomach digesting lunch during a recording session of ‘Honey Don’t’. Believe me, the best is yet to come!”
