100 months of being number one is Bill O’Reilly’s current rant, but no one is absolutely sure what the claim means. O’Reilly, a bombastic talking head on the Fox network, has long been the top media buffoon, but 100 months worth? His payouts in civil claims for sexual harrassment have been legendary, but again… 100 months? Are there cases of which we’re not aware? O’Reilly’s late night infomercials touting the benefits of his “Teenage Loofa Massage Therapy” have garnered as many complaints as they have orders, so it’s probably not in this category. There has been speculation on the Left that perhaps O’Reilly is referring to the number of gaffs he has made in the last 100 months. Media Matters. Org. using the commentators own quotes, has estimated that he pulls 97% of his convoluted “facts” directly out of his ass and has famously stood behind every one of them using tortured logic until challenged. At that point the “fact” disappears from his programs and website without explanation or appology. At this point we’ll simply have to wait for O’Reilly’s definition of “Number One”.
